Through breathtaking black-and-white imagery, Gianfranco Rosi weaves together everyday scenes into a spirited portrait of the city, its inhabitants, and the fragile beauty of all that is at risk of vanishing. The score is by Oscar winner Daniel Blumberg (The Brutalist), who treats sound as an integral part of the landscape itself.
